What’s your ‘Brand’ story?

It’s been a couple of very busy weeks since my last post; I am juggling childcare, a house move, as well as developing my creative coaching business. Two weeks ago I ran a Creative Coaching workshop at the Crafts Council for their Young Peoples Network.

Crafts Council HQ in Islington, London

The purpose of the workshop was to help the group create their own brand identity, name and mission statement.

We looked at what a brand is, what the core values and beliefs are associated with particular brands and then they did some group activities & exercises to help them develop their own ideas.

The young people that attended the workshop were so inspiring, there was such a variety or personalities including a young textiles teacher, a young man starting a fashion label with his sister, a lad wanting to create a new platform/creative network, an A-level student, a product design graduate, an aspiring fashion designer and a future stylist to name but a few. They had so many ideas and were really engaged throughout the workshop, which made my job very easy!

Even though the workshop I delivered was geared towards developing the brand identity for the Young Peoples Network, the same process and exercises can be used and applied to developing any kind of brand identity.

So if you are an aspiring creative entrepreneur, what is your brand story? What are your core beliefs or values that you would apply to your brand? What is your USP? (Unique selling point) What sets you apart from your main competition?

If you are interested in finding out more about developing your own brand identity, I will be delivering some free online training very soon via webinar. Please either like my Facebook page by clicking here or you can join my Facebook group here and you can stay up to date with when the training takes place.

I would love to know your brand stories, so please do comment below if you would like to share.
